Oh hi :)

A few years ago, I went to London on a study abroad through BYU. At the Portobello Road markets, I met this cute little lady who sold scarves. My friends and I visited her frequently, but for some reason she could never pronounce my name. We kept hearing her say "Syra! Syra!", and soon enough we realized she was calling to me. Then the name just stuck. Anyways, I love to review things—food, movies, books, etc.—so my friends have been trying to convince me for  months to start this blog called 'Syra Says'. Two years later, here we are!

I love food, I love cooking, I love to travel, but this isn't a food or cooking or travel blog. I am no expert, I just like to write! And give my not-so-expert opinion on different sorts of things hehe. I also use 'hehe' a lot.

I'm married to a super cute boy named Brady. We are two Idahoans living in Utah going to school and working. He does accounting/finance stuff; I do public relations. 

I looooove the Beatles (hence the John Lennon shirt), and I also loooooove One Direction. And if you bring up the fact that Zayn left the band, I will probably cry. I'm still getting over it. I also LOVE Taylor Swift, and it is my life goal to become her BFF.

I love to read, I love to watch movies, I love Disneyland, and I love to daydream about living in London one day. *siiiiigh*

I hate washing my hair, so I only do it once a week. I'm obsessed with painting my nails, so I do that twice a week. And I HONESTLY CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT TV AND CELEBRITY TABLOIDS, so I do that 3849734862 times a week/day. (I also love to exaggerate. My husband tells me I'm being dramatic at least every other sentence. Also, that was probably an exaggeration too—you get the point.)
